Greetings, everyone!

Last year we gave a little kickboxing rendition of ‘Mistletoe and Wine’. Let’s make it tradition. This year here is the start of Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Xmas is You’. Enjoy! If we get enough of you opening the email this year perhaps there is room for the team to do a charity version, Band Aid style.

Just some gloves and a place to train.

Christmas 2023 Closures – The Elemental Kickboxing Academy and Elemental Fitness will be closed for Christmas on Saturday 24^th. We will Re-open on Tuesday 2^nd

Class Times/Structure: Guess who's bringing a wave of expertise to our Thursday evening class? Josh has officially joined the EKA lead instructors' team and is taking charge of our Thursday evening class for the next 3 months! We're buzzing with excitement to see him share his wealth of knowledge and experience with the entire club!

Josh's passion for martial arts and commitment makes him a standout addition to our team. Get ready for some incredible sessions filled with wisdom, technique, and a whole lot of inspiration! Let's give Josh a warm welcome as he takes the lead on Thursdays! Stay tuned for amazing experiences and growth on the mat!

Josh says 'I hope that I can share and collaborate all the knowledge that I have gained with everyone at EKA. Bringing Point fighting, self-defence, weapons, and fancy kicks into lessons. As well as getting people to compete to advertise EKA so everyone knows who we are.'

Fight Club: Impressive turnout at the Fight Club on October 28th! It's evident that those consistently attending are witnessing a noticeable improvement in technical prowess during sparring sessions. Your dedication to these classes is truly paying off, and this cohesion in skills will undoubtedly prove advantageous when facing James at your upcoming grading.

Mark your calendars for the final Fight Club of 2023, scheduled for December 9th. This session serves as a crucial preparatory step just before the December Grading, making attendance a must for those aiming to excel!

EKA Challenge: Challenge Title: Turbo Kick Fury!

Introduction:Welcome, little ninjas, to the Turbo Kick Fury! The focus will be on three powerful kicks: Front Kicks, Roundhouse Kicks, and Side Kicks. You will have 30 seconds to do as many of these kicks as possible!

Challenge Round 1 - Front Kick Frenzy (30 seconds):

Ready, set, front kicks! Show us your precision and speed. Picture an invisible target in front of you and let those kicks soar.

Challenge Round 2 - Roundhouse Kick Rally (30 seconds):

Swing into action with roundhouse kicks! Imagine you're kicking over a hurdle. Pivot on your standing leg and let those roundhouse kicks shine!

Grand Finale - Side Kick Spectacle (30 seconds):

It's time for the grand finale! Showcase your side kicks with flair. Reach for the stars, little warriors!

What a fantastic gathering at the EKA Christmas event! The day kicked off with boundless energy as both the kids (and the young-at-heart) took on the thrilling challenge of Clip and Climb, leaving no extra Saturday class energy unspent. The venue's success has us considering a return and expanding our event locations.

As the sun set, the grown-ups had their turn, starting the evening at Mean Eyed Cat and seamlessly transitioning to Roxy's for a slightly quieter (emphasis on slightly!) round of drinks and beer pong. Laughter echoed, fun was the name of the game, and special mention to James for his impromptu dance, expertly guided by Sharon.

The memories made were priceless, and we're already counting down the days until the next one!
