Spectator Information & Etiquette – Black Belt Grading This Saturday
We are incredibly excited for this Saturday's Black Belt grading and are looking forward to welcoming candidates, instructors, families, and supporters for what will be a fantastic day for the club.
This will be the largest Black Belt grading Elemental Kickboxing Leeds has ever scheduled, with candidates completing their 1st Dan and 2nd Dan practical assessments after months of dedicated preparation.
Due to the size and importance of this event, we need to carefully manage the number of people attending to ensure the facility does not become overcrowded and that everyone can enjoy the assessment safely and comfortably.
Spectators are welcome to attend, however, we kindly ask that friends and families of our candidates book in to help us manage the facility responsibly.
Spectator Booking Required
If you plan on attending the Black Belt grading as a spectator, please book your spectator slot in advance using the link below and book in via the EKA calendar:
Book your spectator place: https://elementalfitnessltd.mypthub.net/p/221685
This will help us manage numbers, ensure we stay within the facility capacity, and create the best possible environment for our candidates, instructors, and supporters.
Please be mindful that seating and viewing areas are limited. If the facility reaches capacity, we may need to manage spectator numbers, so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
Spectator Etiquette – Helping Our Candidates Perform Their Best
We want everyone attending to enjoy the day and celebrate the achievements of our candidates, while also creating the right environment for them to perform at their best.
If you are attending as a spectator, please help us by following these guidelines:
Support, but don't coach Please feel free to encourage and support our candidates, but avoid giving technical advice, calling out instructions, or trying to help during the assessment. This is their opportunity to demonstrate their own ability and preparation.
Respect the assessment environment Please keep conversations and noise to a minimum while candidates are completing their assessments. Concentration is extremely important during this process.
Photos and videos Photos are welcome where appropriate, but please be mindful of other spectators and avoid blocking views or distracting candidates.
Due to the nature of the assessment, spectators must not record any contact sparring rounds. The club will be recording the sparring assessments and will share appropriate footage afterwards.
Please do not use flash photography or anything that may distract candidates while they are completing their assessments.
Remain in spectator areas For safety and to help the assessment run smoothly, please remain in the designated viewing areas unless invited onto the training area.
Supervise children Children attending the event must remain supervised at all times and should be mindful that assessments are taking place.
Facility Respect & Refreshments
Please help us look after the venue by keeping food and drinks to the designated areas and disposing of any rubbish responsibly.
Refreshments will be available as normal from the reception area. Please use this area for any drinks or snacks and help us keep the spectator and assessment areas clean and clear.
Mobile Phones Please ensure mobile phones are switched to silent during assessments. The candidates have worked extremely hard to reach this stage, and maintaining a focused environment is important.
Respect the Assessment Process This is a formal Black Belt assessment, not a demonstration. Candidates need to perform independently and demonstrate the skills, discipline, and mindset they have developed throughout their journey.
Supporting Candidates Between Assessments Please be mindful that candidates may be preparing mentally and physically between assessment sections. Avoid distracting them immediately before their assessment blocks and allow them the space they need to stay focused and perform at their best.
A Black Belt grading is a significant milestone, and the support from family, friends, instructors, and training partners means a huge amount to every candidate.
Thank you for helping us create a safe, respectful, and positive environment where our candidates can perform at their very best.
Your support will help make this a memorable day for everyone involved.
Let's make club history together!
