Next Saturday 18.06.26 , Team EKA comes together to support our Black Belt candidates as they take on one of their biggest challenges yet - and we want the whole club to be part of this special occasion.

Who Can Get Involved?

This training day is open to Team EKA members aged 12 years and over who meet the following requirements:

✅ Minimum grade: Junior Purple Belt or above, or has a minimum of 1 years experience

✅ Full sparring equipment required (10oz head guard, gloves, shin guards, foot perfection, gum shield and groin guard - see details here)

✅ Able to take part safely in contact-based training activities

This is a fantastic opportunity for students who are ready to experience the intensity and atmosphere of a Black Belt grading environment.

Your support on the day helps create the atmosphere that makes Team EKA special. Training together, encouraging each other, and pushing each other to improve is what being part of a martial arts team is all about.

Approximate Grading Schedule

Participants are welcome to attend the full event or join us for specific sections of the day.

While attending the full event will provide the most complete experience, we understand that a full day of training is a bigger commitment and may not be possible for everyone.

If you are unsure about attending the whole day, we would particularly encourage members to join us for the sparring sessions. This is a valuable opportunity to experience the intensity and discipline of a Black Belt grading environment, support your teammates, and develop your own confidence and skills under the guidance of our instructors.

07.30am - Doors Open, Candidate Registration, preparation & final briefing

8:00am – Technical assessment begins

9:00am – Technical assessment continues & KATA Forms

10:00am – Defensive Work & Physical Fitness

11:00am – Pad work, Conditioning & Sparring

12:00pm – Conditioning & Sparring continues

1:00pm – Awards
